Precious Water wasted

Image
Precious driking water is wasted by pipes broken by negligent workers laying underground electrical cable. The residents are put to untold hardship in the peak summer without drinking water. In the name of beautifying Coimbatore for World Tamil Conference,  roads are dug and kept open for weeks before work can commence. This is putting the public to lot of hardship.

Tribal Development by our NGO at Ugniyum, Sathy, Tamilnadu, India

Ugniyum is a tribal settlement situated in the dense forest hill of  Satyamangalam, Environment Conservation Group came across this settlement on their jungle trek and got information thanks to Forester Mr. Karuppuchetty who accompanied their trek. The tribals depend on the forest for their livelihood. There is no bus to the settlement, no hospital or proper school. they have to walk kilometeres for their rations and other neccesities. Thanks to Rotary Club of Tiruppur, who have come forward to build the tribals ten new homes and Environment conservation Group (ECG) has offered to provide electricity to all the homes in the tribal settlement. The new set of ten homes was inaugurated by the DFO of Satyamangalam Mr. Rama subu  who is the heartthrob of the tribals on 24th March 2010. Thanks to him, now the way to Ugniyum is being laid with  tar road. Hope very soon we will find bus plying to Ugniyum forest settlement.
